Katrina Smith joins this summer’s Camp RAMP UP from Huntsville, Alabama. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a Master’s degree in ECE from Alabama A&M University. She is a proven and respected master teacher and Reading Specialist with 20 years of teaching experience from grades K-3, and highly qualified for grades K-12. Katrina is a member of Pi-Theta Kappa and Kappa Delta International Educational Society, and was awarded Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. Katrina’s skill and style ranges from boot camps, early intervention prgrams, staff-developmental facilitation, teacher in-service training programs, and student teacher training. In addition, Katrina has 40 years of music, voice, writing and performing arts experience with a specialty in piano instruction. She has been especially recognized for her gospel plays, one of which is called P.U.S.H. – Pray Until Something Happens.

She is a mother of two, and grandmother of six, who has a passion for shaping children’s minds, attitudes and hearts for success. She is currently pursuing her own Christian Academy for higher learning and her National Board Certification.
